Born in Danville, PA, he moved to Pitman in 1947 and graduated from Pitman High School in 1957. He was also a graduate of Spring Garden Institute in Philadelphia. Jim retired in 1998 after 36 years as an auto claims adjuster with Allstate Insurance. Known to most as simply "Rishel", he was a bear of a man whose sense of humor and generous spirit was equal to his size. Throughout his life he took joy in anonymously helping anyone in need. Rishel loved his garage, where all were welcome, and could be found there most days spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of K of D since 1987. Throughout his life he enjoyed working on cars, especially restoring Ford Mustangs, hunting, fishing, "trapping", and loved attending community suppers at many local lodges.
